Anjali - Girl Child Education Programme

Giving back to the World from which we have gained so much is an essential component of Growth at Rotomag and it's group companies.For the past 3 years we are collaborating with Humankind an NGO based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat and working all over the country. Here is one of the projects that we are involved in. To help children in their learning process so that they may grow into confident, responsible and sensitive citizens unbiased by gender, caste, religious, linguistic or regional prejudices.

This programme includes

  • Meeting school education expenses like school fees, stationery, uniform and learning aids
  • Meeting extra professional coaching expenses for grade 9th and 10th students
  • Periodical expenses for upgradation of teaching/ learning resources including computers, tablets, printer, internet, audio-visual system and online biometric system etc.
  • Software for teaching various subjects across different grades

Poshan - Improving Health & Nutrition in Impoverished Communities

Nutrition plays a huge role in health, efficiency, effectiveness and most of all happiness. In collaboration with the NGO Humankind, Rotomag and it's group companies are involved in a project called Poshan.

Here is how it helps.

The two-fold objectives of this project are:

  • Increasing awareness about importance of nutrition and hygiene
  • Assessing impact of the intervention on select participants

Humankind intervenes by facilitating:

  • Diagnostic tests for all family members, especially for young girls and pregnant women.
  • Periodic health check ups and distribution of health supplements for those who require
  • Providing Healthy ration
  • Distribution of sanitary napikins
  • Sessions on nutrition, health education and hygience
  • Counselling on family welfare and childcare practices
  • Educating on life skills and using public services
  • Sessions on challenges of early marriage
  • Sessions on behavioural issues in adolescense and awareness of good touch-bad touch
  • Providing nutritious food kits to pregnant women on a monthly baiss.
  • Iron Folic supplements and sessions on the dangers of anemia
  • Administering tetatnus injections

Jalvayu - Water & Hygiene Education

Water is the elixir of life. At Rotomag and our group companies we believe saving the environment and natural resources is no longer a choice, it is a necessity.

We have joined hands with the NGO Humankind to support and facilitate the following project.

To improve health and educational opportunities for children at schools in Anand district, through implementation of “Safe Water” project by installing water coolers and creating awareness amongst children on save water and hygiene.

This programme has been established on the premise that all children have the right to clean water and basic hygiene

Target Groups:

  • 5000 Primary school children
  • 150 school teachers
  • Primary health care staff in targeted communities.

Programme Strengths

  • The development of life-skills in school children
  • A healthy and safe school environment
  • Providing safe drinking water and improve their health

The programme provides installation of water coolers with purifiers at Anand district primary schools. It also works to inspire children to plant and save trees for a sustainable future.
